The mission of Pohatcong School District is to develop positive attitudes and life skills in order to foster a positive self-concept in all students by enhancing achievement in the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards at all grade levels. Students, parents, and staff will focus on the following: success, not failure; potential, not limitations; strengths, not weaknesses; and positives, not negatives.
To revise and implement math standards to be compliant with NJDOE requirements
To fulfill all requirements of the mandated NJ Literacy Framework
To utilize the OnCourse Assessment Module for benchmark data
To utilize the OnCourse Data Manager Module for analyzing student data
To review new ELA series in grades K-6 for future implementation
To coordinate with the Municipality of Pohatcong regarding the easement for water and electrical installation for their field project
To fully implement the Gold Assessment of Creative Curriculum as per the NJDOE preschool standards
To participate in the Kindness Counts Challenge
To facilitate the library program
To facilitate the gifted and talented program
